As of Monday 19th July 2021 all Covid restrictions in England will be lifted. We will no longer be operating a table service policy, so please come to the bar to order food and drink.
We will have no more capacity restrictions and you won’t be legally required to wear a face mask when standing. However, if you feel more comfortable wearing a face mask we are very happy for you to wear one.
You will still be able to find hand sanitising stations around the pub, and we hope that you will remain vigilant in using these.
We ask that you are mindful of others and respect that not everyone has the same levels of comfort. Although social distancing is no longer required, please respect other people’s personal space and use common sense when visiting the pub.
We are so excited to welcome everyone restriction free, but covid is by no means over and we do implore all those visiting us to be kind, respectful and sensible.

Following the success of our first ever pub quiz we are very excited to announce that we will be making the quiz a monthly event! On the last Sunday of every month we will be hosting a quiz night! We hope you’ll get a regular team together and join us to either defend your title or battle to win.
Our March Mayhem quiz will be taking place on Sunday 29th March 2020 at 7pm. It’s just £2 per person to play and we will be providing nibbles to keep those brains buzzing!
There can be a maximum of 6 players in each team. We strongly advise booking a table for your team in advance as last month we were full to capacity and sadly had to turn a few people down. We’ll accommodate as many walk ins as we can, but please do book a table if you know you want to come.
We’ve got some amazing rounds so make sure you brush up on that general knowledge. We’ll be covering music, sport, history, geography, current affairs and more.

Love is in the air at the White Lion! We are now taking bookings for Valentine’s Day! Our chef has loving prepared this delicious menu, designed to tantalise those tastebuds. We know not everyone can make the 14th, so we’ve extended our Valentine’s celebration to the whole weekend! We’ll be serving our heavenly menu on the 14th, 15th and 16th of February.
